BEBINGTON CVS has launched a home respite care befriending service. The project aims to provide suitable workers and volunteers to help people and carers in the area who are senior citizens, have physical disabilities, have learning difficulties or suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.
The scheme will usually operate from 9am to 9pm on weekdays. For further details contact project co-ordinator Carol Quayle on 644-1805.
BEBINGTON Mayer Trust stages a free illustrated lecture called Operation Sub Smash, by Frank Amos, in the Civic Rooms at Bebington Civic Centre on Wednesday, February 19. Doors open at 7.30pm and lecture starts at 8pm. Light refreshments will be available.
MEDITATION classes are held every Tuesday evening at Bebington Civic Centre. Fully qualified instruction will be on offer. Details from 726-8900.
A WINTER woodland birdwalk takes place on Sunday February 9 between 10.30am and 12 noon at Eastham Woods. The walk is open to beginners of all ages and you are advised to bring a pair of binoculars. For further information phone 327-1007
