A NEW Wirral company want to put colour into people's working environment . . .

Viewpoint Resources Ltd, of Village Road, West Kirby, inspired by the idea of painting and working by numbers, has developed a unique system for working by colours.

It has been introduced by Wirral-born Dr Charles Margerison, pictured here, who emigrated to Australia from Merseyside in the 1980s. He has returned with an innovative Personal Performance Guide that can, it is claimed, lead to major improvements in the way people work.

"Using colours to organise your time and improve your performance is a new and powerful idea," said Dr Margerison. "We have developed an easy-to-use Windows-based software product to help people decide how to perform more effectively.

"I believe our system is also valuable for companies with time and budget constraints in their training programmes."

He added: "It is now possible to revolutionise the approach to your job by assessing yourself and developing a coloured plan of action. By completing a well-researched questionnaire, you can see where you prefer to work and be most effective."

Dr Margerison, who played cricket for New Brighton and Port Sunlight, was educated at Calday Grange Grammar School. He worked for the old Birkenhead Corporation and Ranks Flour Millers before going to the London School of Economics.

He returned to Liverpool to gain a doctoral degree in educational psychology. He has worked for government and major companies in oil, chemicals, finance and travel in developing new approaches to management.

Viewpoint Resources is supplying organisations all over the country and creating new employment opportunities. Dr Margerison, meanwhile, is returning to Australia for a time to look for more ways of improving performance.
