THE managing committee of Wirral CVS, which promotes voluntary action throughout Wirral, has appointed former Globe journalist Jean Benfield as its new Chief Executive.
Jean, who is currently the Information and Communications Officer at Wirral CVS, will take up her new post on April 1. She has worked at Wirral CVS since 1992 and was one of its first paid workers, helping to establish the organisation and its role within the borough.
Born in Wirral and a resident of Wallasey, Jean is also currently Information Officer for the Wirral Pathways Support Unit, working with the 12 Pathways communities on the Wirral who have received extra funding through the Pathways Initiative, part of Merseyside's Objective One Programme.
