BEETLEMANIA hits Wirral next week...

All over the peninsula, groups of people will be getting together to take part in the first-ever National Hospice Beetle Drive - and it could lead to an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.

St John's Hospice in Wirral, sited next to Clatterbridge Hospital in Bebington, is orchestrating the local participants, who include members of local Townswomen's Guilds, WIs, Young Wives, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, pubs and clubs.

The record-breaking day is set for Tuesday, April 1, when the aim is to encourage all hospices nationwide to take part in the biggest ever Beetle Drive. All individuals taking part will be charged £1 each, with all donations locally going to St John's.

Beetle Drive Week is from April 1-5 and those who would like to take part should ring the hospice appeals office on 334-0778 or 334-2778 for details.
