COMMITTEE of New Brighton lifeboat station entertained the crew to the annual Hot Pot Supper at Wallasey Yacht Club. In the tradition of the station, the committee, led by Chairman Eric Lowe, served the crew before sitting down themselves.

WALLASEY CND started its campaigning this year in Liscard.

LEASOWE Women's Centre is looking for a volunteer secretary and treasurer. The centre encourages women in Leasowe to improve their lives and learn new skills by offering advice, information and support.

From September, a range of education will be available; from refresher maths and English to assertiveness training and workshops on various issues.

Elaine Moss has increased publicity and encouraged more local women to use the facilities on offer.
