ON THE first anniversary of the first British-built Mazda, a special edition of the 121 is launched.

Based on the 1.3 GXI, the 121 Icon will only be available in Radiant Red and there will 300 available. Priced at £8,715 on the road, it will have a pop-up sunroof, rear spoiler and high level brake light in addition to the already high equipment list that includes power steering and immobiliser as standard.

The 121 was launched at the beginning of 1996 and is built at Dagenham with prices starting at £8,550 for the base 1.3 GXI three door, rising to £11,780 for the 1.25 ZXI five door automatic. All prices are on the road which includes delivery, number plates and 12 months road fund licence.

The Icon, as with all Mazdas, comes with three year/60,000 mile warranty, six years anti-perforation cover and three years Mazda European Assistance, offering comprehensive peace of mind.
