From Anonymous:-WHY are some smokers so inconsiderate? I am pleading with the small percentage of insensitive smokers to respect other people.
Recently, while in my local pub watching one of my favourite bands, I was subjected to a man lighting a cigarette in my face. I am aware that you can not avoid smoke in pubs but I have a bad reaction to a lot of smoke especially when it is blown in my face.
Politely, I asked him to move the cigarette away from me only to receive a torrent of abuse.
As a result, I spent the night in hospital with a chronic asthma attack. Thankfully, I have now recovered but I do feel that I, nor anyone else for that matter, should have to keep away from pubs to avoid this situation.
Many of my friends are smokers but at least they give me respect.
