A PILOT monthly cable programme is being pioneered to bring important issues in Wirral to the fore.

The brainchild of Wallasey resident Ally Boxie, the idea is to produce a monthly half-hour programme on cable TV that will capture the imagination of the Wirral public with stories from the past, as told by members of the public who have actually experienced them.

Ally has teamed up with cable TV company Nynex to produce a monthly half-hour programme on the new access channel, likely to start in June. He would like to hear from members of the Wirral public with any stories to tell from childhood, or they picked up from friends and parents.

Speaking to the Globe, Ally said: "I would like all interviews to be relaxed and as informal as possible. The stories can be of a humourous or serious nature, and how people feel society has turned out and my theme is 'I Remember When.'

If anyone wants to contribute to the programme and has got stories to tell past or present, Ally would love to hear from you. Phone 0973-323-856.
