THE prosecution at Wirral Magistrates' Court dropped allegations against a 37-year-old man of making threats to kill Robin Johnson and Dermott McGroarty at Birkenhead and also assaulting the two police officers in the execution of their duty.
But John Francis Connolly, of Asquith Avenue, Birkenhead, was sent for Crown Court trial charged with causing an affray and was bailed to appear at the higher court on May 1.
