A £15 MILLION package of Government support to Ford Motor Company for investment in the production of a new Multi Activity Vehicle at Halewood, Merseyside, was announced by the President of the Board of Trade Ian Lang.
The investment will safeguard 1,850 jobs at Halewood and many more in the automotive components sector.
The £15m package will consist of Regional Selective Assistance and support for training delivered through Merseyside TEC and other local partners.
Payment of the RSA grant will be conditional upon Halewood achieving significant improvements in performance and productivity to meet the competitive challenges of the future.
