FORD is introducing a new British built 2.3-litre 16-valve engine for the Galaxy range. This latest engine will be exclusive to Galaxy with similar fuel economy to the existing 2.0-litre engine with performance nearer to the 2.8-litre CD-V6. Commenting on the new addition to the Galaxy range, David Calder, Galaxy Brand Manager, said: "Since Galaxy's introduction in 1995 it has sold over 16,000 units and has become Britain's best-selling MPV."
In 1996 the MPV segment was the fastest growing in Britain - up 72 per cent on 1995.
