OCTOBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Wirral South MP Ben Chapman, with Bill Duncan, of Wirral Hospital Trust, toured screening facilities at Clatterbridge Hospital, meeting consultant radiologist Dr Joyce Magennis and supperintendent radiologists Jenny O'Connor and Gil Harvey.
The Imperial Cancer Research Fund are asking people to Think Pink during the week October 6 to 11. They want readers to donate pink clothing items to their charity shops, where staff will be dressed in pink and selling special pink ribbons. Phone 0113-2311334 for more details.
