CHAMPION Automotive Products has appointed Sam Scullion as General Plant Manager for its Upton site.
Forty-three-year-old Sam joins from the American exhaust manufacturing company Tennaco UK Ltd., where he spent 14 years, reaching the position of Operations Manager.
At Champion he will be responsible for all operational aspects of the Upton site, which employs 800 people. One of his first projects will be the implementation of cell production methods, a system based on the highly successful production system introduced by Toyota in Japan.
Sam, who enjoys circuit training, walking and gardening, is married with two young boys.
