TRANMERE Reserves gained a memorable victory - their first of the season in the Pontin's League Premier Division - when they beat Manchester United Reserves 2-1 at Gigg Lane, Bury, on Monday night.
The all-important Rovers goals came from Graham Branch and German midfielder Dirk Hebel.
Rovers Reserves gave away a 2-0 lead as they lost 3-2 to Liverpool Reserves, including Robbie Fowler, at Prenton Park last Wednesday. Graham Branch fired both Trannmere goals.
