BIRKENHEAD'S busy Woodside gyratory was thrown into chaos on Friday when this large tanker overturned in Chester Street, opposite the Woodside Hotel, blocking the ferry terminal and bus station.
Canning Street and Hamilton Street, near the town centre, were closed to traffic as emergency services carried out a 'text book' operation.
Fire crews emptied the tanker of its non-hazardous animal fats into another tanker. The driver of the overturned vehicle suffered back and neck injuries.
