A MAN and woman on mortgage fraud and other allegations were sent for Crown Court trial by Wirral Magistrates.
Paul Joseph Gregg, 35, of Mostyn Avenue, West Kirby and Karen Baker, 25, of Barnsdale Avenue, Thingwall, will appear for plea and direction on October 30. Bail was allowed.
It is alleged they procured a cheque for £44,175 from Abbey National plc by using false details. The prosecution asked for them to be discharged on an allegation of conspiring together to defraud the Abbey National.
Gregg still also faces three matters of obtaining cash by deception and one of engaging in business when a bankrupt and Baker one matter of obtaining two months' tenancy at a Greasby address by deception.
