BAD weather prevented all the games scheduled for the 28th except the First Division game between Parkdale and Shamrock.

The terrential rain and high winds made the playing surface difficult for both teams.

It was Parkdale who took the early initiative. A long searching ball from Paul Williams was flicked on for Foreshaw to race clear and fire home from 12 yards, and Jamie Gladwin increased Parkdale's lead on 35 minutes with a fine angled shot.

Shamrock started to press and impose themselves more as the first half came to a close, and were rewarded on 43 minutes when Chris Jones drilled his shot home.

Shamrock came out the second half looking stronger, but on 65 minutes a stunning free-kick from Paul Stevenson put Parkdale 3-1 ahead, and Gladwin scored his second and Parkdale's fourth with a cheeky 30 yard chip to seal victory and put his side back on top of Division One.
