MEMBERS of Bebington GTI Tae Kwon-Do Club celebrated unparalleled success at the GTI Championships in Shrewsbury, when they fought off opposition from 15 other clubs to bring home seven first place trophies, three second places and two in third.

First place winners were John Hines, Craig O'Brien, Kevin Shindler, Geoffrey Scott, John Wynne, Lee Wynne and Michelle Kelly. Mike Hindley, Stephen Hulligan and Sarah Johnson finished second with Arsalan Saeedi and Graham Bowen third.

This was the largest haul from any one club and Chief Instructor Steve Sharkey said: "This is a tremendous result for the club and reflects the level of skill and dedication the students have put into training."

Anybody interested in training with the Korean Martial Art of Tae Kwon-Do can contact the Global Tae Kwon-Do International on 353-0623, or go to a training session on Monday and Thursday evenings at Bebington High School (7.30pm).
