TWENTY-seven rods took part in the ninth match of the North West Association of Sea Angling Clubs' Personal Members Championship at Llandulas Beach, North Wales.
England Boat international Steve Quinn, of Wallasey, won the match from unfancied peg 30 on the shallow Pensarn end of the match length, but the result could have gone to runner-up and Championship leader Kevin Martland, who had a whiting rejected at the scales; it had gone marginally undersized. John Norbury, 1996 Personal Members champion, lost a big fish, probably a conger eel, on a snag.
