THE search is on to find Miss Wirral Globe 1998. Don't be shy, there are no swimsuits involved and it costs nothing to enter. It is for a good cause, too - the building of Claire House, a children's hospice at Clatterbridge.

Miss Wirral Globe will be a 'Queen of Hearts' promoting Claire House Hospice in its opening year.

Previous Miss Wirral Globes have gone through to Miss UK and all have enjoyed their reign.

Mums, dads, brothers, sisters and boyfriends are invited to send in their nominations for Miss Wirral Globe, as soon as possible. Entrants should be aged between 18 and 26.

Christmas party dress pictures would be suitable. Send those pictures with your name, age, address and occupation to Miss Wirral Globe, Globe House, Catherine Street, Birkenhead L41 6HW.

Claire House will be a happy place for very sick young children. Miss Wirral Globe will be their fairytale queen. This is a unique and glamorous opportunity to be an important part of the local community - besides prizes and a title to be won!
