VOLVO has announced it is to stay in the hard fought British Touring Car Championship. For 1998 Volvo S40, Racing Italian ace Gianni Morbidelli is switching from F1 to Touring Cars, joining Rickard Rydell in the Volvo team.
The racing seasons starts at Thruxton on April 13 and should then be coming to Oulton Park, in Cheshire. Volvo's racing drivers will reveal their plans and new livery at the Autosport Racing Car Show, NEC, Birmingham.
Vodafone Nissan Racing will also be launching its Touring Car '98 team when Nissan driver Tony Reid gives his views on the forthcoming Touring Car battle, as will Audi. In the Live Action Area, eight 'Mighty Minis' will put on a racing spectacular.
Racing car stands include a Mobil 1 RAC British rally Championship stand with six, state of art rally cars.
The show runs from January 9 to 11 while at the G Mex Centre, Manchester on January 9, 10 and 11, there is the Motorcycle Show
