PEUGEOT has announced that a completely new range of special 106, 306 and 406 cars. Planned officially for the 1998 season, Peugeot introduced the cars in time for the Christmas holiday break and before the busy January sales period.

Each new model is fitted with extra equipment and goes on sale at a special value drive away price.

The six-car 106 Look range is based on Peugeot's highly successful small hatchback.

Powered by either a 1.1 litre petrol engine or a 1.5 litre diesel through a 5-speed gearbox, these special 106s are available in eight different colours, three or five doors and three specification levels - Look, Look+ and Look 2.

The 106 Look at £6,995 on the road, the 106 Look costs almost £1000 less than the current entry level 106 XN.

Available in 3-door, petrol form, only the 1124cc engine has an an acceleration from 0-62mph in 15.4 secs.

The 106 Look+ is even better equipped than the Look offering CD player and stereo radio, tilting glass sunroof, Alto wheel trims. Prices including delivery, number plates and 12 months road fund licence are £7,795 for the 3-door, petrol powered Look+ and £8,295 for the diesel version. Until the end of March 1998, these prices will also include 12 months insurance.

The 106 Look 2 is an impressive £1100 added value and the best equipped of all are the Look models. The Look 2 has all the equipment supplied with the previous two models but with many additions including power steering, 60/40 split folding rear seat, monogrammed carpet mats, metallic or pearlescent paint to name but a few.

In Look 2 livery the 106 is available in 3 or 5 doors with a 1.1 litre petrol engine or as a 5-door model fitted with the 1.5 diesel engine.

Look 2 prices on the road are £8,895 and £9,295 for the 3-door and 5-door petrol models and £9,795 for the 5-door diesel version. A year's insurance is included until the end of March 1998.
