COACH Lawrie Connor is hoping for fan power to help weary New Brighton in their quest for National League status, on Saturday, when they return home to Reeds Lane to face Tynedale, who are one place below them in Thwaites League North Division One (kick-off 2.30pm).
"The lads are tired, January is not a good month to be doing a lot of travelling," said Connor. "I urge the fans to turn out in force to help us against Tynedale. It's all still to play for and, with six of our remaining nine games at home, we can still do it."
Last Saturday, Doncaster took revenge over Widnes, winning the top of the table clash 35-24. Middlesbrough kept up their challenge by beating Broughton Park 23-12.
It's very tight at the top of the table as the four teams slug it out for the Championship - a top placing which brings with it promotion to the National League.
