WHIT Bank Holiday weekend promises to really rock this year - courtesy of Leasowe Production Group and Leasowe Play, Youth & Community Association.
The organisations are staging their annual Festival of Fun and Music on the Sunday and Monday, May 24 and 25 at Leasowe Community Centre and Recreation Field.
"Over the two days there will be lots of entertainment, activities and attractions, with stalls, music, refreshments, fun fair and much, much more," said organiser Julie Birkett. "We aim to make this the biggest free festival in Wirral this year. Last year's festival was a great success, but this year's will be better!"
Sponsorship from local companies would give the days a major boost, says Julie, and local bands or artistes who want to take part should contact her on 639-3094/691-1595 as soon as possible.
