NESTON and Ellesmere Port residents were last night attending a police forum at the Civic Hall, Ellesmere Port. The previous meeting had members of the audience expressing concern about vandalism and disturbances by young people in Parkgate.
POSSIBILITY of a recreational routeway linking Neston with Haddon Wood and Burton Wood to Hooton and Eastham are included in EP and Neston plans for the next century.
The Borough Council is keen to increase the number of places where the public can have clear views of the coast and estuaries. It wants to improve access to the Manchester Ship Canal. The council also plans to have a cycleway network across the borough. There is the possibility of a new train station for the area at Ledsham.
NESTON'S Labour MP Andrew Miller has welcomed the Government's latest plans to combat drink driving.
"As a patron of the national charity Road Peace I have long campaigned on behalf of road traffic victims," he said.
He believes the move to reduce the blood alcohol limit will go a long way to reducing road deaths, injuries and accidents.
