POLICE are now 'very concerned' about missing Wallasey man Clive Simpson, last seen in the Gorsey Lane area at 1.30am on January 31.

Family man Clive had a row with his wife after a night out in New Brighton and has not been seen since.

He is married, with a young child, and they live near the Bird in Hand pub, Poulton. Mrs Simpson has said they were a happy couple. They had a bit of an argument and he walked off.

It is believed that 34-year-old Mr Simpson had banged his face earlier, either getting on or off the late night bus.

Wallasey Police are asking local residents, shopkeepers or anyone with property in the Gorsey Lane, Gorsedale Road areas or approaches to the Wallasey Tunnel, to check gardens, sheds, or unoccupied property for the missing man.

Clive Simpson is described as white, aged 34, of medium build with brown hair, shaved at the side and curly on top. He was wearing a Burberry grey/blue jumper, dark blue check shirt, navy blue trousers and brown shoes.

He has been missing for nine days - at the time of going to press - anyone with information should contact Wallasey Police on 777-2030.
