DIETICIANS are heading for Arrowe Park next week armed with helpful advice about the benefits of eating healthy food.

During Food Awareness Week (March 9-13), experts at the hospital are handing out factsheets with information on the advantages of eating more fruit and vegetables, shopping and budgeting, recipe ideas and a colouring competition for children.

Said chief dietician Beth Crossley: "We would like both the general public and staff to think more carefully about what they are eating and consider the benefits of increasing their daily intake of fruit and vegetables."

Added dietician Emma Heseltine: "It is important to note that canned, dried and frozen fruits and vegetables are just as beneficial in providing vitamins and minerals as fresh produce."

The dieticians will be spreading their healthy eating message at Arrowe Park from March 9-11 and Clatterbridge from March 12-13.
