JOY for the Champions as Cassie the long lost Alsatian comes home. The Champion family were distraught when their 10-year-old Alsatian Cassie went missing in October from her home in Ludlow Drive, West Kirby.
Mrs Jill Champion immediately set up a campaign for Cassie's return, including posters in the Globe offices in Birkenhead and shops across Wirral.
Christmas was a sad time for Mrs Champion's seven year-old twins, Samantha and Matthew, but sadness soon turned to joy, when a couple returned Cassie home, some four months later.
A delighted Mrs Champion said: "I was so happy to see Cassie as I thought I would never see her again. She was a bit overweight but was very excited to see us again. I would like to thank all the public for their support and to the couple who brought her back to me."
