THE manageress of a residential home at Bebington stole over £25,000 over a period, Wirral magistrates were told.
Linda Jean Svenson, aged 43, of Kings Lane, Bebington, admitted six specimen offences of theft of a total of £6,110 belonging to Joy McGeachin at the Cabra Home in Well Lane over a two-year period from January 1996.
The magistrates determined their powers of sentence inadequate and sent her to the Crown Court. She was bailed to appear on a date to be notified.
John O'Leary, defending, said Svenson had been served with other offences to be taken into consideration. He accepted the matter would have to go to the higher court.
