FOR the second year running the 1998 Lex Vehicle Leasing Reliability Survey, has found Mitsubishi vehicles to be the most reliable in Britain.
By assessing the mechanical reliability of its 88,048 strong fleet of L to R-registered vehicles covering 23 manufacturers, Lex drivers experienced 21,620 mechanical faults over a 12 month period, equating to 24.5 Mechanical Breakdowns Per Hundred VEhicles (MBPHV).
Commenting on Mitsubishi's top rating for the second year running, Managing Director Stephen Dixon said: "When we were a niche importer selling Japanese manufactured vehicles, reliability was taken for granted, hence our three year unlimited mileage warranty. Now our manufacturing facilities are world-wide with a high proportion of our vehicles built in Europe, it's good for our customers to have proof that our products are jsut as reliable as they always have been, and more reliable than any competition."
