UNDER-16's get the chance to sample the very best of the night club experience when Planet Dance goes into orbit once a month at Bromborough Civic Centre.

DJs, sound systems and lighting usually seen only at pop concerts and nightclubs are all there.

The event is supported by Wirral's Youth Service, Leisure Services, police and St John's Ambulance, who attend every month to make sure the evenings are unforgettable and safe.

Planet Dance has been running for two years and is a huge hit with parents who are assured their children are enjoying a safe, friendly and well-supervised event, while the youngsters revel in the club atmosphere with subtle supervision.

Said Councillor Bill Nock: "Planet Dance is a phenomenal success. We are delighted with it and are now looking at staging similar events in other areas."

The next ticket-only event is on Friday, June 19, from 7pm-10pm. Tickets are available from Bromborough Library for £4.50.
