KEVIN Joseph Morrison, aged 59, was further remanded in custody until November 23 for read-out committal proceedings by Wirral magistrates on Monday.
Morrison, from Wettenhall Road, Poole near Nantwich, is charged with murdering Wirral pensioner Alice Rye at her Spital home in December 1996.
There are also other unrelated allegations involving dishonesty and under the Sexual Offences Act. There was no application for bail.
