A WARRANT for the arrest of a Birkenhead man who stole mail while working as a temporary postman was issued by Liverpool Crown Court.
Carl Powell, aged 20, of Challis Street, was due to be sentenced but he failed to attend court.
Powell pleaded guilty last month to destroying a postal packet, theft of mail, secreting and opening and wilfully detaining postal packets.
The charges relate to April 7 and 8 when Powell was working in North Birkenhead on a casual basis.
After he failed to appear, Judge Ian Crompton issued a warant for his arrest.
