BEBINGTON councillor Brian Cummings is campaigning on road safety in Stanton Road, Bebington. He is concerned about traffic conditions and a 'nasty bend' near Stanton Road playing fields.

Double-decker buses use Stanton Road and Coun Cummings has written to the Borough Engineer Andrew Rhodes asking him to at least consider a weight restriction on parts of the road.

RESIDENTS in Willington Avenue, Eastham, have to watch their step. They are complaining to Wirral Council about the condition of the footpaths and want new concrete flags.

LIB DEM councillor Phil Gilchrist (Eastham Ward) has written to MPTE about the plight of bus passengers waiting near Hamilton Square to catch buses at the Bridge Street gyratory, Birkenhead.

"Bus passengers are now standing out in the open. People are often waiting in the wind or rain." Coun Gilchrist suggests the MPTE puts up shelters before Winter.
