HAVING just received my Globe and reading the letters (Mailbox, March 17) regarding the changing of Wirral post codes from L to CH, I was amazed.
A couple of days earlier, I had called the Royal Mail post code telephone number to confirm my post code before I had any more business cards printed.
I was told that my post code - L49 - would not be changing and there was no indication that we would be getting a new post code. Armed with this information, I happily went off to my local printers to arrange my new business cards. On speaking to my printer, he assured me that he had a list of post code changes in his office and that ours would change from April 1.
What kind of information line are the Royal Mail running? Thanks to the Globe, I now have in front of me in black and white the correct information.
