'FLYING Scott' Davies, of Wallasey, (pictured above) won a trophy motor cycle racing over Bank Holiday weekend.

At Oulton Park, in Cheshire, there was motor cycle racing on Monday and the Clash of the Tuscans motor racing meeting on Good Friday. Car 31 in the TVR Tuscan Challenge for the Blackpool made sportscars had the dubious honour of crashing badly on the first lap on the first bend, in the first race around the Cheshire circuit this weekend.

Wirral people racing at Oulton on the day were Rob Harvey and Mike Bibby, both from Heswall, in the Opal Telecommunications FF 1600 Championship. Terence Whenlock, of Eastham, was out in the Fiat Irish Punto race.

On April 17 at Oulton there is historic car racing, plus Thunder in the Park when the Classic Thunder group takes to the track. Austin Healey sports car club will also be racing.
