GRANT THORNTON announce the sale of Albany Leasing, part of J. Blake in receivership.
Albany has been sold to Sanderson Bramall Motor Group. Value of the deal is about £4m, representing the value of net assests plus £2.5m.
Albany employs some 17 people based at Prescot, Liverpool. Albany has a fleet of around 2,000 vehicles. Blakes, which trades as Blakes Ford from the group's four premises in Liverpool, continues to trade normally while Grant Thornton continues to operate the business while looking for a sale.
Blakes used to have a dealership in Birkenhead. This is now part of the MSF Ford Group.
