A PENSBY-BASED charity is celebrating an Easter 'eggs-travaganza' worth £5,000.
Live Music Now aims to bring live music to disabled and disadvantaged people who would normally have little or no access to it.
They also aim to give performance opportunities to young professional musicians who are at the beginning of their careers. Last year the charity gave 188 concerts and workshops, 103 for children in special education. The grant will help fund additional concerts, one of which will take place in Pensby this Summer organised with the Pensby Wood Centre. The charity is one of 90 groups to benefit from a share of £510,000 donated by the Lloyds TSB Foundations. Other charities to benefit this year are Wirral Society of the Blind and Partially Sighted, Merseyside Drug Council and Merseyside Relate.
Christine Reynolds, of Live Music Now, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the grant. We rely on donations like this and it's a huge boost to everyone involved in the charity."
Sarah Kershaw, cashier at TSB Heswall, who presented the grant, said: "It's brilliant that so many charities will have extra reason to celebrate this Easter."
