HER Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester officially opens Claire House children's hospice on Monday, April 19.
Globe readers helped to pay for the purpose-built children's hospice in memory of schoolgirl Claire Cain, of Wallasey.
It was paid for entirely by charitable donations and fund raising must continue to run it.
The Royal opening will be both a happy and sad time for Appeals Director Hilary Holden. After spear-heading the fund-raising campaign to build the hospice, she has decided to take a break for a while to spend more time with her family.
