OPERATION Connor in Hoylake and Wallasey has arrested 83 bail busters and put them back before the courts.

Police launched Connor in March and are hailing the Operation an outstanding success. The aim was to find and catch people, who were wanted on warrant, committed crimes while on bail and who were in breach of bail conditions imposed by courts.

Detective Sergeant Mike Parkinson said the operation should reassure residents that police are actively enforcing the court orders.

The Operation's HQ was in Wallasey, where a wanted list was issued. Over 160 police, both uniformed and CID, took part

Wanted people were vigorously pursued and arrested. A total of 83 people have been arrested, so far, and taken back before the courts.

The message to other bail busters is give yourself up!
