WIRRAL and Merseyside are to keep the top Euro Objective One cash following the Berlin Summit on Euro funding.
The welcome news emerged during Nato attacks on Yugoslavia and was overshadowed in the media as a result.
Merseyside, Cornwall, South Yorkshire and West Wales qualify for Objective One with the Highlands getting an equivalent award.
