VOLUNTEERS are needed to help the work of Wallasey Age Concern, which relies totally on willing people.

Chief Officer Kathy Twist said: "Recruiting new volunteers is becoming increasingly difficult. In recent weeks we have lost volunteers who have found full employment, which proves that gaining work experience can help to find a permanent job."

She is delighted for the people concerned but must keep up the number of volunteers to help at the Lonsdale Centre in Seabank Road, Wallasey. They also need drivers, attendants and carers as well as those willing to help run the regular clubs.

Anyone interested in giving up just one day a week to help can contact Kathy Twist on 630-4017.
