MEMBERS of the successful Richard Saunders School of Taekwondo were celebrating again after winning 21 trophies at the Welsh closed Championships in Newport, a haul which included nine first place medals, and followed that with more success winning 12 trophies at the Welsh Championships.

Gold medal winners at the Welsh Championships were 11-year-old, Phillip Sheppard, 14-year-old Mike Orford, and 14-year-old David Cottis who is now three times Champion. Lynn Milner took the adult gold medal winner, with Chris Corden, Richard Saunders, Jennifer Edwards, Glyn Miller and David Snape winning the other medals.

Also celebrating is Club instructor Richard Saunders (pictured top, far left, with his medal winning team) who won the World United Martial Arts association title in Cheltenham, beating people from all styles of Taekwondo and Martial Arts.
