THE search is on for a Snow White to play the title role in Wirral's annual Christmas pantomime staged by the council at the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton.

David Lee of Pantoni Productions, the boss of what will be a star-studded Millennium panto, says the right candidate will be the envy of the industry and will receive a great break into theatre.

Auditions are being held at the Floral on Saturday, June 19. Registration starts at 10am with auditions from 10.30am, when registration closes. Would-be Snow Whites should bring a backing tape or sheet music and will be asked to read a scripted item. They will also have to look after seven dwarfs!

"This is a prestigious role and we are obviously looking for someone who has stage experience and an excellent soprano voice. Only criterion is a maximum height of 5ft 4ins. This is a career break of a lifetime," says Mr Lee. Further details from the Floral on 639-4360, Monday to Saturday, 2pm to 8pm.
