DORIS Davison, who delivered over 900 babies in her time as district nurse in Wirral, has died aged 92.

Mrs Davison was a district nurse and midwife in Pensby, Barnston, Thingwall, Woodchurch, Heswall, Irby and Greasby for 35 years. The funeral will be on Friday at Holy Cross, Woodchurch.

NATIONAL Blood Service are looking for people to donate during the Summer as many of their regular donors will be going on holiday.

WEATHERHEAD High School in Wallasey is holding an attic sale, organised by the Weatherhead Association, on Saturday, June 19, from 10am to 12.30pm. The event takes place at the Laburnum Road site and people need to bring their own tables when the site open from 9am.

MORETON Animal Rescue Summer fair is at Moreton Community Centre on Sunday afternoon, June 20. Lots going on for pet lovers, animals to be seen include rats, stick insects, guinea pigs plus Bella the Bunny on harness and lead. Madame Gabriella the fortune teller will be there, plus stalls.
