NOSTALGIA will envelop Prenton Park on Saturday, when Tranmere Rovers' fans, and many of the club's star players of recent years, bring the curtain down on mercurial winger John Morrissey's distinquished career.

John King, the most successful manager in Prenton Park history, will be back at the scene of his many triumphs - and disappointments. He takes charge of a Tranmere Stars Select XI which will include ex-Rovers' favourites such as record goalscorer Ian Muir, Jim Steel, former skipper Jim Harvey, and ex-player/manager Frank Worthington, against a Liverpool Select XI managed by ex-Liverpool coach Ronnie Moran and featuring the likes of Phil Neal, Jan Molby and David Speedie.
