A FALL which resulted in a broken kneecap prevented President Jean Drakes from attending the last meeting of Willaston WI.
Vice President Thelma Kameen took the meeting, at which Mrs Mary Nieto reported on her visit to the Albert Hall, London, to attend an Intermediate General Meeting before Mrs Sheelagh Arden gave a bread-making demonstration.
The August meeting takes place at 'The Paddock', Benty Heath Lane, home of treasurer Mrs Betty Greenwood.
