HEALTH Secretary Frank Dobson visited Wirral, last Wednesday, to open the new constituency office of Wirral West MP Stephen Hesford.

The office includes a new drop-in centre for constituents which follows Mr Hesford's pre-election promise to make himself as accessible as possible.

The drop-in centre at Ford Road, Upton Village, will enable members of his constituency to call in without appointment to raise concerns with trained volunteers.

Said Mr Hesford: "This is a great day for Wirral West as we officially open this centre and we welcome Frank Dobson to Wirral. I am delighted that Frank has been able to break away from his busy schedule to open my office here and to see what good things are happening in Wirral West.

"Accessibility is the key with this centre. This office is the first in Wirral West and the first in Wirral. In fact, I believe it is probably a unique facility on Merseyside."

Mr Dobson said: "This centre is an important development for Labour and for people in Wirral. It is a great step forward. The local Labour party is providing the sort of services that we have come to expect from the modern age."
