TWIN Simon Dawson died from drowning after a savage beating, a jury at Liverpool Crown Court has been told. They resumed sitting this week.
Before the court are, Carl Harrison, 20, of Hillfoot Close, Beechwood, Birkenhead, and a 17-year-old from Tranmere, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
Both accused have pleaded guilty to robbing Mr Dawson as he made his way to a friend's house after a night out, but deny murdering him.
Mr Dawson, 27, of Grayson Mews, Birkenhead, an information technology manager, was attacked after leaving 5th Avenue nightclub in Bromborough at 1.40am on August 29.
Mr Dawson's body was found in a pond in Brotherton Park, Spital, at 8.30am the same day, resulting in widespread publicity.
