LOCAL people are to be given the opportunity to air their opinions on the progress of Wirral International Business Park in Bromborough.

Public consultations and exhibitions are due to take place in September and October for local residents to discuss the developments and future proposals for the site with local authority representatives.

A joint initiative by Wirral Council, Wirral Direct and North West Development Agency, Wirral International Business Park has financial support from Merseyside's Objective One Programme.

Launched in March 1998, the park has attracted £94.1 million of investment from both the private and public sector and has so far created almost 1,000 of its target 3,000 jobs.

The public consultations will take place in Price's Sports & Social Club, Bromborough Pool Village, on Thursday, September 9, from 3pm to 6.30pm and Friday, September 10, from 10am to 2.30pm.

The exhibitions run from September 20 to September 24 in Bromborough Civic Centre then until October 1 in the Wirral Education Centre. Comment sheets will be made available for local people to record their views.
